You have a quality story or needed message to get out there.
As writers, we are very engaged in the creativity of writing our books. But who really wants to be concerned with marketing, right?
Today’s author must have an entrepreneurial attitude …
This is true whether its traditional commercial publishing or an innovative independent model.
Your quality message or story is worth being read. And it’s worth the effort to get it before readers.
In this 7 minute video, Michael Hyatt (former Thomas Nelson CEO) interviews Lysa Terkeurst.
The most important thing we can do is to create a powerful conversation around our book.
How do we do that? She outlines 3 ways …
Take control over what you can do to advance your book:
- Identity the felt need. What questions are people asking? What problems do they need to solve?
- Formulate a promise. This is some answer you are providing.
- Focus on your value. People are looking to get their needs met, not just buy a book.
You can make your book remarkable by communicating this on your back cover content, in your product description, in your preface, and in other ways.
More importantly, it should be threaded into your message or story.
